Nine out of ten bars have jukeboxes and they are almost always playing music.  Having a token jukebox song will not only make for good conversation, because there is probably a story behind it, but it will also get you pumped up regardless of the scene at the bar.  Make sure that your song won’t embarrass you though.  It is perfectly acceptable to play Kid Rock, Alabama, George Straight, O.A.R., Driving and Crying, Steve Miller Band or Jimmy Buffet, just to name a few, but no matter how much you may like Hansen or Backstreet Boys don’t make that your selection…or at least don’t claim that it’s yours.

Life Before Noon Tip: Know How to Work a Jukebox

Posted on June 10th, 2010 by Dan

If someone has to come over to the jukebox and show you how to select your song, then you should sit back down at the bar and sip on your Zima with the jolly rancher at the bottom.  Act like a man and learn how to work a jukebox.  How hard is it to select song 1010, Driving and Crying, or Kid Rock on number 2203?  Take requests if you wish, but don’t let someone put some lame song on your rotation because you will end up looking like the doosh.
